NFL Week 11 Recap

The week 11 Recap for the NFL was business as usual for some teams as they continued their winning streaks through week 11. The steelers Still remain at the top of the league at 9-0 after they walked through the Jaguars winning 27-3 in a landslide victory. Divisional opponent Bengals had a rough week as Rookie/LSU superstar went down with a gruesome knee injury as he was carted off the field. The injury was later described to be season-ending and will require major surgery.  The Bengals ended up losing that game 20-9 following Antonio Gibsons 98 yard run play for the score. The Cardinals- Seahawks went head to head in a big divisional game both going into it with the same records. The Cardinals couldn’t quite edge it out as they fell 28-21. A Carlos Dunlap game-ending sack and a Carlos Hyde touchdown proved to be the two key plays Seattle needed to solidify the victory. As the tight NFC West battle continues the Rams ended up pulling out the win against the Buccaneers as Tom Brady threw a late-game Interception to close the game. Jared Goff had three touchdown passes and Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp each had 100-plus receiving yards in the win. Rams are battling their hard schedule upcoming to end the regular season. Turning things to the NFC East the dog fight continues as the Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, and The Football team all have similar records despite their losing records. The divisional leader eagles couldn’t pull out the win as the Browns discovered holes in the Eagles run defense causing Nick Chubb to rush for Over 100 yards on the ground. The Birds struggled to find running room with second-year back Miles Sanders as he only gained 66 yards on the ground. QB Carson Wentz continues to find himself in deep waters as his performance has yet to impress coach Doug Peterson so far this season. Divisional rival Cowboys rose to victory over the Vikings as QB Andy Dalton lead the team with 3 touchdown passes and RB Ezekial Elliot Ran for 103 yards on the ground. The Cowboys gain ground with this victory moving to 3-7 in the losing NFC East. A surprising win took place as the Packers fell to the Colts in overtime as the Colts were down 14 points at the half but surged back to win the game in overtime by a Blankenship field goal to win the game. The Colts and Packers both Improve to 7-3 going into week 12. An NFC South Matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons took place with a new look at quarterback for the saints as Tyson Hill got granted the start following the injury of veteran Drew Brees. Hill Had a great stat line against a weak Atlanta defense as he ran for 2 touchdowns and threw for 233 yards. Atlanta struggled to put up any points as they put up a low 9 points falling 24-9. In the AFC West, the Cheifs faced off with the Raiders in a divisional showdown between 2 rivals. Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a win on a game-winning touchdown drive that saw him throw the game-winning touchdown pass to Travis Kelce in the final seconds against the Raiders. Mahomes and the Cheifs got their revenge to stay at one loss on the season. The Panthers shut out the Lions 20-0 in a blowout win moving Carolina to 4-7. P.J. Walker was 24-for-34 with 258 passing yards and a touchdown pass filling in for Teddy Bridgewater in the Panther’s win. Lastly, the Chargers just carried out the victory against the losing jets as New York becomes the first team to be eliminated from playoff contention. Rookie QB Justin Herbert threw 3 TD passes securing the 34-28 win.
